POSTER 1 PROCESS

I began the process of my first poster by creating a pattern for the background layer. To incorporate the meaning of the haiku I used the poem itself, using small font to create the illusion of a grey colour. I printed this out then began to create outlines of various geometric shapes to be cut out, first forming and then filling the outline and to be cut from the textual pattern. I outlined the geometric shapes with a black liner to create definition and distinction between forms.
