My next step was to create the form of the flower blooming, as in the haiku it is symbolic of the beauty and clarity of a flowering creative idea. I based the geometric form off of a real image of a flower, however creating linear outlines of the petals to create a geometric representation. I coloured the petal shapes in black, then cut and glued the individual petals down to create a collage, spacing the angular petals created the illusion of a white line throughout the flower utilising negative space to produce a more recognisable form.
